Accepting Defeat and Missing the Playoffs

The day all hockey fans dread. As a Hawks fan, I've had it pretty good the past few years, but this year was not so enjoyable. The Hawks will miss the playoffs for the first time in about a decade. Injuries, underperforming players, bad contracts, and a slew of other unfortunate circumstances left the hawks without hope...and their fans even more hopeless.

Every team goes through tough years, and the non-Hawks fans are happy to remind us how good we've had it. It's not a good feeling, but it's the natural ebb and flow of the game. We are looking at a pretty decent 1st round pick this year too ;) So there's that lol.

I'm going to likely root for Nashville since they now have Hartman and I'd really like to see them win a cup. I know, fellow Hawks fans are going to shoot me for that comment! But, I'm someone that can look past being a Hawks fan and still encourage other teams. Of course if the Hawks were in the playoffs, I'd be out for blood....lol

Welp, there's not really much to say except that this is a bummer but I'm interested to see how playoffs go. Anyone else keeping tabs on the Vegas Golden Knights?! I'm super intrigued to see how the rest of their season turns out. Let me know who you root for and what your playoff predictions are! For now, I'll be drowning my sorrows in chocolate and wine!
