If you aren't creating and evaluating your goals regularly, it is very likely that you have fallen off the wagon! I used to be one of those people that would write down their goals at the beginning of the year and never look at them again. That doesn't mean that I didn't achieve them, but their were certainly lots that got lost along the way! This year, with the help of my Passion Planner, I am really staying on top of my goals and getting things done!
I like to split my goals into a few different sections; Financial, Personal, and Business. Like I talked about in my Passion Planner post, the passion road map keeps me really on track with my over arching goals and helps me map out the monthly things I need to do to achieve those goals. So I tend to keep my monthly goals smaller but also I try to push myself too. These April goals are getting pretty serious, so stay tuned!

Financial
So I'm someone that thinks about money a lot. I grew up on the lower end of the middle class and just knew that I wanted things to be different when I was an adult. I've had to learn how to have a healthy balance between saving and spending, but I'm getting there. I also want to stop making it so taboo to talk about finances. I'm obsessed with Jordan Page from FunCheapofFree because she's super honest about her budget and how things work for her and her family. I think that if we can all be honest about our financial situation 1. We can face the facts and figure out our goals and 2. We can help and learn from each other! So these are my financial goals for April
Add at least $240 to savings. That will give us an even $4000 in savings and that will helps us towards our overall $6,000 savings goal. We are looking into getting a puppy too...so trying to add some extra savings in there!
Make 2 extra $60 payments to my student loan balance. My goal is to make enough extra payments this year to pay my loans off 1 year earlier. Every penny helps!
Stick to April Budget
Personal
Personal goals are my favorite. These can be anything from creative goals, personal development goals, new skills goals, and literally anything else. I lump a lot of goals in this category, but like I said I still keep these "small". These are my personal goals for April
Hit the gym 3 days a week (minimum). One of my overall yearly goals is to just be healthier and I've been doing pretty good with the gym. I try to make this a part of my daily routine so that it just feels natural to go and so I don't dread it. Plus I'm pretty goal motivated, so It's a fun challenge
No phones during dinner with Clayton. Since we really don't see each other that much, I want to make sure that we are maximizing our time together. There is no need to be mindless on our phones when we should be talking and communicating with each other
Declutter the apartment. We are likely going to be moving within the next few months and we have mindlessly accumulated a few things over a year of living here. I've already started listing products on Facebook Marketplace and getting rid of these useless items. Plus that extra cash will help us pay down debt and pump up our savings
Business
So this is where I put goals for my blog and social media. And yes, I do call it a business because if you want your hobby to turn into a business, you have to treat it like one. Plus I am currently making a small amount of money from it, so I consider that a business. I have a LOT of goals for the blog and apparel line over the next year, but it helps so much to break those into small parts! Here they are:
Hit 850 followers on Instagram. I have a goal of hitting 2,000 over the next year and I reached my last goal really quickly! I'm glad to see that my following is growing and that my followers engage with my content. I seriously appreciate every single one of them.
Pre-write blogs for the month. I typically try to write several blogs a week so that if I have a busy week I have content ready to go. Some content is time sensitive and some content I can't write until it happens, so ya gotta be a little flexible with this one.
Do Product giveaway. A new product launch means a new product giveaway! These are always so much fun and it makes me happy to see that people get so excited to win!
Improve Instagram content. Sometimes I struggle to find what to post on Instagram and so Iv'e been making it a point to search for inspiration and constantly improve my skills. It's all a process and I'm enjoying the journey
So there ya have it! I am working on a lot of different areas of life this year, but I'm really enjoying it. I will, of course, update all of you on how it goes at the end of this month. Let me know what you're working on! Is there anything I can help with? Let me know!
I love that you categorized your goals and that you are writing them down and revisiting them. That's a great strategy! Keep up the great work.
I always improve my instagram account! It's really an effective tool.
