Crushed My April Goals and What May Holds

I wrote my first "goal" blog in April and I think that it not only helped me be accountable, but it helped me really narrow in on things that are actually important to me. And not to toot my own horn, but I kind crushed it in April. You can read more about my April goals here, but the abridged version is as follows:

Financial:

-Reached $40 over our savings goals. Although that may seem really insignificant, I still met the goal, and kept pushing to surpass it. When you're on your goal journey, celebrate ALL the little wins!

-I made 5 extra payments to payments to my student loans...which feels SO good...and also just motivates me to pay those off as soon as possible. Those 5 extra payments only amounted to lessening my payoff date by 1 month...

-I didn't quiet stick to the April budget...but that's because I was able to lower our grocery budget and make a few extra payments to student loans as I said before.

Personal:

-I really tried getting to the gym or at least working out 3 days a week. I cam really close but just missed it. I am going to work harder on this in May

-Clayton and I really did a great job of putting our phones away at dinner. We had real conversations and were able to leave the notifications for later

-Decluttering the apartment became really easy due to the fact that we are moving in May...so in order to get things packed up, I've had to throw away and donate all of our useless crap

Business:

-I hit 850 followers on Instagram before I could even blink. I am really blessed and honored that people felt that I produce content that they care about! Trying to hit a goal of 2,000 by the end of the year

-I was not really on top of my game when it came to writing this month. I just got a little caught up in other things and worked a lot of overtime with my full time job. So my writing took a backseat this month

- I couldn't get through a product giveaway this month due to the fact that I didn't get the shirts in until late April...and It takes a bit to organize that stuff

-Improving my Instagram content also did not go as planned. This is one that I'm most upset about because I really dropped the ball. This is an aspect of the business that I REALLY want to improve

Looking Forward to May

I'm really glad that I wrote out my goals for April because it is really guiding my focus for May. With a move in the middle of the month and a trip to Vegas at the end of the month, it is going to be really challenging to stay on top of everything. Another reason for me to write out these goals and do my best to stay ahead of the game!

Financial:

- This month I'm going to slow up on our general savings and put what I would normally put in savings in our funds for Vegas. We already have saved quite a bit...but my gma is a high roller, so we are gonna need a lot more to keep up with her ;)

-I want to try to make 2 extra payments on my student loans. Since we have Vegas, I don't want to me too ambitious, however it is still really important to me to keep trying to pay those off

Personal:

-My health is always going to be one of my top priorities. This month I want to focus on making healthier meals at home. I'm hoping that Clayton and I can plan a cooking date night this month and try out some fun new and healthy recipes.

-Same as last month, I am going to try to hit the gym or at least get a workout out in everyday. Even if it's only 10 minutes, making it a habit is really important to me.

Business:

-As always, I am looking to grow my Instagram. I have some fun and exciting things in the works :) So hopefully I will see an increase of at least 100 followers in May

- Take TONS of pictures during the move, in Vegas, and during date nights in order to have lots of fresh content for May. There are going to be tons of picture opportunities this month, and I want to take full advantage of it!
